Farmhouse La Lama is a small hamlet made up of three ancient stone houses, situated on a hillside close to Arezzo in the heart of the Tuscan countryside.
Our family has owned the property for 3 generations and until the 1960s it was used as a farmhouse and barn, as a place for drying tobacco, and the remaining parts as an animal shelter.
The structure is located in the centre of our farm of about 40 hectares, consisting of vineyards (Chianti DOCG), olive groves (IGP) and land that is cultivated for sunflowers, wheat, corn etc...
Fattoria La Lama is made up of 7 housing units. In the old barn, two apartments have been created as farm holiday rentals.
The old farmhouse has been divided into a further two apartments for medium term rentals, and the former animal shelters now consist of another two apartments that are also for medium term rentals.
I, Rita, my husband Alighiero and my daughter Sonali live in the other housing unit, which used to be a pigeon house and cow shed.
